ACV RULES
Last update: 08/09/25
This manual must be strictly
followed.
ACV Pilots must comply with the following rules:
- - 1. RESPECT for colleagues, above all!
- 2. ACV-va is a virtual airline that follows what is actually happening in the Capeverdean skies in particular and the world in general. So we expect that our Pilot’s follow this rules as real as possible.
- 3. Flight Sim candidate must be over 16 years old and have an operational Flight Simulator (we recommend FSX, P3D, X Plane, FS2020 or 2024), have some experience in flight simulation, have knowledge of the English language and present their real identity. No nicknames will be allowed!
- 4. The Flight Sim candidate must understand that, as an ACV-va pilot, it is expected to be respectful and cordial, within the company and when online.
- 5. The company gives preference to online flights.
- 6. All pilots are required to study the Documents on Documents page, mainly the Phraseology Manual.
- 7. ACV-va has a wide range of flights, most of which are identified by KY xxxx. Some flights referring to specific events have specific acronyms. For example, Acv African Tour, the Flight Number is AAT xxxx, Long Haul Tour, ALT xxxx. The Pilot, when doing a leg of an event, must choose the flight number that is available corresponding to the event he is performing.
- 8. All Pilots are required to complete at least 1 Tour a Year (any ACV tour). Failure to complete the only ACV Task by the end of the Year can result to a possible 1 to 3 month suspension (ground pilot).
- 9. Pilots without flying for more than 3 months will be grounded. After 6 months without presenting a justification to the company, they will be dismissed.
- 10. To register for an ACV Tour, the Pilot has to fill out a form that can be found on this page.
- 11. Once an event has started, the Pilot must complete it without interrupting the event.
- 12. At the end of each tour flight, the Pilot must send an email to aeroclubcv@gmail.com, with information regarding the leg he just completed (Tour's name, Legs' name and callsign).
- 13. If the end of an event takes place at another airport, the Pilot must take the aircraft back to Sal and park it there.
- 14. ACV's main HUB is Amílcar Cabral Airport - GVAC. The Pilot must bring the aircraft back to this airport after flights.
- 15. Aircraft forgotten for more than 3 days at airports other than the HUB will be moved to headquarters, with the costs of this move being deducted from the Pilot's salary. The Pilot will have to buy an extra-crew ticket to position itself again in GVAC.
- 16. If, in case of need, the pilot has to leave the aircraft at an airport outside the HUB for more than 3 days, he must inform the Company (via an email to aeroclubcv@gmail.com) so we can take care of the details and put the plane at GVAC.
So… feel free to be an ACV-va Pilot.
